The estate, gardens, and farm totaled some 8,000 acres in the 18th Century. Today, 500 acres of that historic property has been preserved along the banks of the Potomac River. Within its boundaries, the guests will find an exceptional collection of historical treasures, stories, and exhibits that are not to be missed.

Upon arrival guest will pass through the Ford Orientation Center and Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center. The exhibits depict an incomparable American hero who evolved from a young man of modest means into this country’s first president.

From there, guests will travel along the garden path to Washington’s home, where you will be presented with an authentic look at the life of George and Martha Washington. The group will also enjoy an add-on extra tour of the Gristmill and Distillery. There will be some time for you to explore the grounds on your own.
