Anyone wishing to attend any session or event at NCBJ 2020 in San Diego must register online.
Transfer Policy
Transfer requests must be received in writing no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2020. The attendee who “receives” the transferred registration pays a $100 service fee at time of registration. You can request a Transfer HERE.
Refund Policy: If the conference goes forward, then our regular refund policy will remain in place. Until September 11, 2020, NCBJ will refund fees paid by check or credit card for conference registration, additional options such as luncheons or NCBJ tours that have been paid to NCBJ, less a $100 service fee. Refunds will not be available after September 11th although, as always, registration is transferable to another attendee.
If the conference is cancelled at any time prior to October 17, 2020 NCBJ will refund all fees paid to NCBJ by check or credit card for conference registration, and additional options such as luncheons and NCBJ tours. There will be no service fee deducted from refunds issued if the meeting is cancelled by the NCBJ.
Hotel information and refunds: The Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is closed until a projected re-opening date of June 1st. The Marriott group guest reservation links on the NCBJmeeting.org website are open and guest rooms can be reserved now for the annual conference.
Should your personal travel plans change, or the hotel’s expectations of when they can host guests changes, or if the hotel will be closed over the NCBJ dates, the Marriott will refund deposits paid for guest rooms booked through the NCBJ website in accordance with the hotel’s published cancellation and refund policies. You must cancel your own reservation as it is a personal transaction between you and the hotel.
Speaker Policy
If you are a speaker at NCBJ 2020, please check with the organization for whom you are speaking regarding reimbursement for NCBJ registration. NCBJ requires that all speakers be registered and have a NCBJ badge.
Badge Policy
Recent events have led NCBJ to annually review the annual conference security procedures. Attendance at NCBJ conference events and functions are limited to registered attendees and their guests. Badges are issued at NCBJ Registration at the Marriott Marquis. For security reasons, only people wearing 2020 badges will be allowed entry into the secured areas of the conference. This includes educational, social, exhibit, meals, and networking areas at the Marriott Marquis.
This NCBJ policy, which has been effect for several years, will be stringently enforced during the upcoming San Diego conference. If you fail to wear your 2020 NCBJ badge, you will not be admitted to conference areas, or will be escorted out.
NCBJ, venue security and the U.S. Marshals thank you for your cooperation in wearing your 2020 NCBJ badge at all times during the conference and the associated events and helping NCBJ provide enhanced security for all participants.
Tour Registration Policies
Confirmed registrations for tours and activities non-refundable.
If you register for the Balboa Park tour and the bus is at capacity, we will accept extra reservations on a waitlist. If enough people sign up to add a second bus, you have paid and are all set. If not enough people sign up to add another bus, you will be notified before the conference and 100% of the tour price will be refunded.
If you register for either sailing event, you will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to the conference in order to participate.
